The American Red Cross will be conducting a blood drive on Wednesday, July 23, in McGinnies Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please bring your American Red Cross donor card or photo ID with birth date.
Donors with blood types O negative and B negative are especially needed. All donors (even those who attempt to give blood but are not able to) are eligible to win a Family 4 Pack to Lake Erie Speedway. Also, everyone will receive a coupon for Lake Erie Speedway for a buy one ticket, get one ticket free.

SUNY Fredonia's new director of its Professional Development Center is inviting SUNY Fredonia professional and CSEA staff to an open forum on professional development Tuesday, July 29, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Japanese Garden Room of Reed Library.
This informal brown-bag event offers employees the chance to meet with colleagues, fellow employees and the PDC staff, and to help the Center design staff-specific programs for the upcoming year. Dr. Schell will facilitate the brainstorming session. "I promise that we'll have fun!" she said.

Joseph Legaspi and Sarah Gambito will present their poetry as part of SUNY Fredonia’s observance of National Poetry Month on Tuesday, April 15, beginning at 7 p.m., at 202 McEwen Hall. An amazingly resourceful poet, Mr. Legaspi writes about the mysterious and the magical in the most common and overlooked objects, as did his mentor, Pablo Neruda. In her first book, “Matadors,” Ms. Gambito presents vivid juxtapositions of a wide range of objects – star fish, Tagalog, frisson – while an element of friction adds a political dimension to her writings.
