Women's teams comprise top three academically

The grades from the last semester are out and three women's teams took the top three spots for academic performance, with the volleyball team taking first with a cumulative GPA of 3.62. The Women's Basketball team and the Women's Lacrosse team finished the semester with a 3.42 and a 3.41 cumulative GPA, respectively, taking the second and third spots.

More than 1,400 SUNY Fredonia students were honored in Steele Hall Arena today as President Dennis L. Hefner, for the final time in his 16-year tenure, conferred bachelor’s and master’s degrees and advanced certificates. Commencement at Fredonia included two nearly identical events at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to accommodate the large number of undergraduate and graduate students as well as their family and friends, many of whom traveled great distances to join them for this memorable occasion.

Electronics recycling drive tally tops 70,000 pounds

Members of the men’s soccer team gave yeoman’s service by pitching in to unload a steady stream of nearly 600 vehicles on Ring Road, near the Services Complex, during the four-hour collection.
