Faculty and outstanding students of the Fredonia School of Music will present the first of two recitals dedicated to 20th-century chamber music on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. in Rosch Recital Hall. Meant to be "user friendly," the recitals will include discussion of the pieces and demonstration of the performance techniques involved. The second recital will be performed on March 15.

Soprano Angela Haas (formerly Dilkey) will perform a faculty recital Friday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. in Rosch Recital Hall. The program features Argento's Pulitzer Prize-winning song cycle "From the Diary of Virginia Woolf". Two performances by Grammy Award winning classical guitarist Sharon Isbin, master classes and a luthier workshop will be among the highlights of the Art of the Guitar Festival at the State University of New York at Fredonia. The five-day festival, a collaborative effort of the SUNY Fredonia School of Music, the Western New York Chamber Orchestra, and the Fredonia Guitar Society, runs from Wednesday, Jan. 30 through Sunday, Feb 3.

“Tally-Ho,” a concert celebrating the music and career of
Dr. Donald Bohlen of the Fredonia School of Music, will be performed Saturday, April 14, in Rosch Recital Hall at 3 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. Ethos New Music Society, a student group at SUNY Fredonia, is sponsoring the concert in honor of Dr. Bohlen, who founded the group in 1977 and has been its advisor for 30 years. The concert will feature music by Dr. Bohlen as well as by some of his past and present students, including
James Piorkowski and
