Nine faculty and guest artists will explore German Expressionism in a concert of 20th century chamber music Saturday, Oct. 4, opening with a discussion by Dr. Gordon Root at 7 p.m. The exploration of the European creative movement of the first half of the 20th century opens Friday, Oct. 3, with the showing of the film, "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari." Rosch Recital Hall, Judy Shepard, mother of hate-crime victim Matthew Shepard, will explain how the tragedy of her son’s murder in 1998 spurred her campaign for justice and ultimately led to the founding of the Matthew Shepard Foundation to help carry on his legacy.
