Saturday, April 19:

  •  “A Sustainable Taste of Fredonia, Barker Commons, Village of Fredonia, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 
  • “Rockin’ the Commons:” Noon to 5 p.m., Barker Commons. Co-hosted with WCVF and Fredonia Radio Systems. Dan Berggren will perform. 

Monday, April 21:

  • Informational display on Environmental Policy: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., McEwen Hallway.
  • The Nature of Sustainability:” 1 p.m., Jewett Hall Room 101; presentation by Walter Simpson, Director of UB Green. Free. 
  • Political Forum: 2 p.m., Reed Library Japanese Garden; panel discussion with U.S. Congressman Brian Higgins. Free.
  • University President Dennis Hefner presents Opening Remarks and Signing of the President’s Climate Challenge: 4:30 p.m., Jewett Hall Room 101. Free.
  • “Our Energy Future: Addressing Global Climate Change:” 5 p.m., Jewett Hall Room 101; lecture by Walter Simpson, Director of UB Green. Reception and refreshments follow.

  • Film--“NOVA: World in Balance—The Population Paradox:” 4 p.m., Williams Center S104. Free. 
  • Workshop: “Sex and the Environment: 5 p.m., Williams Center S104. A workshop to unite environmental and reproductive justice movements, including issues of access to health care, accurate information about sex, clean air and water, and global warming solutions.  Representative Cassie Gardener of the Sierra Club will join members of the SUNY Fredonia community to raise awareness of why access to reproductive health services and information and youth leadership are necessary to solve the global environmental challenges we face today. 
     

 Wednesday, April 23

  • Informational display on Energy Issues: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Williams Center Multipurpose Room.
  • Water Issues Panel: 3 p.m., Williams Center Room S104. Featuring faculty members Alberto Rey, Aimee Nezhukumatathil, and Dr. Timothy Strakosh. Refreshments provided. Free.

Thursday, April 24  

  • Organic Food Panel: 6 p.m., Williams Center S104. Panelists include Pete Calanni from Gong Garden Farm, Janey Wagner from Nature's Network Natural and Organic Foods Market in Fredonia, Keith Freeman from Freeman's Farm, and Jessamine Daly-Griffen from the Starting Small Project in Fredonia.   • “A Night with Nader:” 7:30 p.m., King Concert Hall. Mr. Nader will present the talk, "Who is Eclipsing Solar Energy and Energy Efficient Technologies and What Can We Do About It?”  Ticket information is available online.
