Health update on swine flu status

This afternoon Chautauqua County health officials confirmed that there is a probable case of swine flu (influenza A H1N1) in the southern portion of county, resulting from an adult and a youth associated with recent travel to Mexico. However, we are told that the individuals in question are nearly fully recovered and there continues to be no suspected cases on the SUNY Fredonia campus.

SUNY Fredonia’s Department of Communication has been awarded a grant by the U.S. Department of State to travel to Turkey and instruct high school and college students interested in video production and filmmaking. Fredonia was the lone organization chosen among 15 applicants to travel to six Turkish cities during an 18-month youth filmmaking instructional project.
