Patrick Fay and Skylar Pratt, music education majors, spent 82 days of the summer performing around the United States with The Glassmen in Drum Corps International. Lengthy practices were held every day and students often slept on gym floors and on buses. The world finals were held in Indianapolis in Lucas Oil Stadium, site of the 2012 Super Bowl.

They are both juniors. Fay is from Buffalo, and Pratt is from Wellsville.

From modest beginnings more than three decades ago, Drum Corps International (DCI) has developed into a powerful, nonprofit, global youth activity with far-reaching artistic, educational and organizational influence. Through the annual DCI Tour and more than 35 World Championships in 17 North American cities, Drum Corps International provides entertainment to millions through live performances and nationally-televised events.

The Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps is a Drum Corps International World Class (formerly Division I) drum and bugle corps based out of Toledo, Ohio that was founded in 1961. A member of Drum Corps International, it is one of two World Class corps in Ohio, along with the Bluecoats. The name "Glassmen" comes from Toledo's prominent glass industry, which has earned the city the nickname of "the Glass City."
