Grad students give health tests at Special Olympics

Graduate students in SUNY Fredonia's speech pathology program gave hearing tests to180 athletes at the Special Olympic Fall Games in Binghamton, N.Y., in October.

The screenings were part of the Healthy Athlete Program at the games. The 10 students from Fredonia accompanied faculty members Dr. Kim Tillery and Marc Wilcox on the trip.

They were joined by one clinical audiology doctoral student from SUNY Buffalo.  Other professionals representing dentistry, opthalmology, podiatry and dermatology also provided screenings.
