Brain biochemist leads workshops Friday

Dr. James Zull, author of
The Art of Changing the Brain: Enriching the Practice of Teaching by Exploring the Biology of Learning (Stylus, 2002) will be giving two workshops for SUNY Fredonia faculty on Friday, Sept. 22. Dr. Zull teaches biology and biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University, and is the former Director of the
University Center for Innovative Teaching and Education.
Sponsored by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, both are open to all and will take place in Williams Center Room G-140. From 10 a.m. to noon, he is leading, “Neuroscience and Teaching/Learning;” and from 1 to 3 p.m., “Applying Zull’s Principles in Instruction.”
Advance reservations are required to attend a luncheon with Dr. Zull between noon and 1 p.m. To attend lunch, contact Cheryl Budniewski in the Academic Affairs office by Friday, Sept. 15.
