Spectrum Entertainment to host Fred Fest 2014

Spectrum Entertainment will be hosting Fred Fest 2014 on Saturday, May 3, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Steele Hall fieldhouse.
The event is free for students with a SUNY Fredonia Photo I.D. Students can get a ticket just for admission or get a ticket for admission with Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. Each student is permitted to bring one guest and must be with the guest when entering the event. Guest tickets are $5 for admission and $10 for admission with Dinosaur Bar-B-Que. Faculty and staff members are able to purchase up to two tickets with their SUNY Fredonia photo I.D. The cost of a faculty and staff ticket is the same as the guest price. Alumni can also purchase tickets with a special code that they can receive by calling Alumni Affairs at (716) 673-3553 to confirm their alumni status. They can get their tickets by phone or in-person. All tickets can be picked up at the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center.
It is a picnic-carnival themed event. All who enter the event must be over the age of 18 and have a valid photo I.D. at the gates. No bags are permitted at this event. There will be a wide variety of activities available for students including caricatures, inflatables, a photo booth and stuff-a-bear. Over $2,000 worth of raffle prizes will be given away and the raffle is free for SUNY Fredonia students to enter. Prizes include bikes, Nooks, iPad minis, an X-Box One and more. Students must be present to win prizes and drawings will take place between each band performance. Every student will be entered once at the gate with a free raffle ticket. There will also be giveaways at the door and various vendors will be on-site.
Bands will be providing musical entertainment all day. The bands playing include: Marcello at 2 p.m., Sweet Apollo at 3 p.m., and Lady Lush and the Vinyls at 4 p.m., which is an alumni band from Buffalo, and Hearts Like Riots at 5 p.m. All bands contain past and current SUNY Fredonia students.
The event is hosted by Spectrum and sponsored by the Student Association. APG and Rumpus will be providing sound.
