Campus gets into the Halloween spirit
Monday, October 28, 2013
For their Halloween costumes, staffers in the Purchasing Department paid homage to music icons (from left) Dolly Parton (Donna Howlett), Stevie Nicks (Shari Miller), Frank Zappa (Ian Hill) and Jimi Hendrix (Joan Schnur, as Joanie Hendrix).
The Fredonia campus is oozing with fun and chilling activities to celebrate Halloween. Employees are coming to work in costume, and celebrations are occurring all over campus.
On Thursday, Oct. 31, the students and community can choose from a variety of events to help them get into the spirit.
Some of the events include:
- Premium Blend Halloween Jam – One of Fredonia’s favorite a cappella groups will get into the spirit and enchant the campus with spooky Halloween tunes. For eerie music like you’ve never heard before, venture into the Williams Center's Tim Hortons at 7 p.m. Of course, costumes are encouraged. https://www.facebook.com/events/652453778118330/
- FSA Halloween Dinner – What do Butchered Bats, Moldy Garden Slime, Cheesy Spider Web Pizza, Bird Parts, Toad Stools, and Fish Guts have in common? They’re just some of the concoctions whipped up by the Cranston Marche staff for Halloween. Those with strong stomachs can feast on this unique fare and more from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Students with a meal plan can use a meal or points, 9.08 in Fred funds or Debit, students, faculty, and public without a meal plan can $12.75 cash or credit card. Everyone is encouraged to wear their costumes.
