Looking for Commencement volunteers

Commencement is quickly approaching and the committee is in need of volunteers to assist with the celebration on Saturday, May 18. Faculty, staff, student* and community volunteer hands are most welcome.

Three volunteer shifts are being offered: 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Morning Ceremony Shift); 1 to 5:30 p.m. (Afternoon Ceremony Shift), and 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (All Day Shift - meals will be provided).

Commencement Volunteer Coordinator Erin Mroczka noted that It takes hundreds of hands to facilitate this once in a lifetime moment for SUNY Fredonia graduates and their guests, adding, “whether your hand is taking a ticket, passing out a program, or even pointing to the restrooms, each job is important to the success of each ceremony. No task is too small to go unnoticed."

To sign-up for a shift, please email Mroczka@fredonia.edu,stop by the Campus Life Office in the Williams Center, or fill out the form on FSU4U.

*Students living in the residence halls may receive special permission to stay on campus an extra day to assist with the ceremony, please contact Ms. Mroczka for additional information.
