Women’s Student Union hosts two events to conclude the year

The Women’s Student Union at SUNY Fredonia is hosting two events to conclude this academic year to raise awareness about ending violence against woman and practicing safe sex.
The first, a Clothesline Project in which students will be creating t-shirts that demonstrate a desire to end violence against woman will take place on Tuesday, April 30 at 6 p.m. at the Williams Center Patio (inside Tim Horton’s if it rains). There will be live music performances for participants to enjoy while creating their t-shirts.
The second event, which is sponsored in part with Pride Alliance and STEPS, will be a Sex Toy Fair held on Thursday, May 2 at 5 p.m. in McEwen 209.
The fair will feature a presentation by STEPS between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. and then representatives from Evergreen Health Services will be giving an interactive presentation from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. During the event, there will also be Sex Toy Demos, videos shown and talks about condom negotiation. They will also discussions about the different topics associated with sexuality and practicing safe sex.
Both of these events are free and open to the campus and community.
