Curtain rises on senior capstone play "Holy Schnitzel"
Friday, April 12, 2013

“Holy Schnitzel,” a modern-day Jewish comedy written by Nicole King for her Women’s Studies senior capstone course, will be presented on Friday, April 26, at 9 p.m. at McEwen Hall Room G26. The Performing Arts Company and Women’s Studies Program are assisting with the production, which is free and open to the public.

Set in Brooklyn, the play follows the Goldstein family as its world gets turned upside down by an intrusive matchmaker. Rebekah, the eldest daughter, is forced to go on dates with a few not-so-trophy-worthy men. She has no idea what she wants and it takes some real testing to finally figure it out.

King, from East Meadow, N.Y., is majoring in Theatre and has a minor in Women’s Studies.
