CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The State University of New York Athletic Conference announced its all-conference swimming and diving teams on Feb. 26.
In addition, Stephanie Andrasek (Parma, Ohio/Normandy) broke a school record this past weekend at the SUNYAC Meet that was not previously reported. Andrasek's time of 2:28.47 in the 200-yard breast stroke occurred late in the meet on Saturday and placed her in the Blue Devil annals.
The SUNYAC swimming and diving champions in each individual event earned a spot on the All-Conference First Team. The athletes who placed second and third in individual events are recognized on the All-Conference Second Team.
For the men, Ryan Fuller (Endicott/Union-Endicott) was named the men's Diver of the Meet and First Team all-conference. He won both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. His score of 511.80 was a new SUNYAC Meet record.
Second Team honors went to John Estanislau (East Longmeadow, Mass./East Longmeadow) and Rafael Santiago (Middletown). Estanislau was second in the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly. He was part of three relay teams that finished well: 200-yard freestyle relay (second), 400-yard freestyle relay (third) and 200-yard medley relay (fourth).
Santiago was third in the 1-meter diving.
For the women, divers Ashley Keller (Lockport) and Sarah Ficarro (Owego) were First Team. Ficarro won the 3-meter board, while Keller not only won the 1-meter board, but set a new conference mark, meet record and team record with a score of 485.35. Keller was also named the women's Diver of the Meet.
Andrasek, Emily Ginty (Chenago Forks), Katelyn Haley (Canandaigua) and Natalia Wilkins (Merrick, N.Y./Calhoun) were named to the Second Team. Andrasek finished third in the 200-yard backstroke. She teamed up with Ginty on the third-place 400-yard medley relay team. Ginty was also on the 400- and 800-yard freestyle relay teams that finished fourth. Individually, she was third in the 200-yard backstroke.
Wilkins was second in the 400-yard IM and fourth in the 200-yard IM.
Haley was third off both the 3-meter and 1-meter diving boards.
The women's team finished third at the conference meet, while the men finished fourth.
