The Performing Arts Company is performing the play, “The House of Yes,” written by Wendy Macleod, inside the President's Home this weekend. The show runs Friday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and concluding with the final performance Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m.
All shows will be performed at President Horvath’s house, 194 Central Avenue Fredonia, NY 14063. The event features adult language and themes not suitable for children. Director of the PAC performance this Spring is Marisa Caruso, who personally asked President Horvath if the performance could be done at her home.
The House of Yes is a dark comedy, involving four main characters Mrs. Pascal, Jackie-O, and Marty and Anthony Throughout the play, Marty brings home his fiancé Lesly. This is interesting dynamic on the family relationships because Marty and Jackie-O have incestual history with each other.
Each year, at the end of the Spring semester, PAC has people submit shows that they would like to see for the following school year. The play season consists of PAC 1 and PAC 2 which means that one show requires a higher budget and larger technology demands. PAC has two experimental shows one in the Fall and one in the Spring. The experimental shows don’t require the same budget or technology demands like a main production does.
